On German inland waterways it is mandatory for recreational boats with engines above 15 hp. It can be taken for motor and optionally for sail.
What does the course cover?
Inland traffic rules and signs, locks, manoeuvres, knots and safety on board, finished with a theory and a practical exam.

River clean-ups, lake monitoring or harbour logistics: with the SBF Binnen teams can operate independently on inland waters.
